Italy Decreto Flussi Work Permit

Following the global trend and the Pandemic, Italy is currently facing a shortage of skilled and unskilled workers & specialists in almost all economic areas, especially in the agriculture and hospitality sectors.

Italy is saying that they have difficulties in finding the people for the positions they need to fill, it shows that there is a great opportunity for internationals especially Asians like Indians, Bangladeshi, Nepalese and Sri-Lankans.

In the coming years, Italy needs a lot of skilled and unskilled workers to increase their output and come out of the Pandemic where Italy lost a lot of their people and indirectly labour. As the country needs at least 80,000 Non-European workers to work in the country especially in Agriculture, Hospitality and Industry sector. After losing a lot of the people in the Pandemic period, the need for workers is high especially from Asian countries who can fulfil their needs of skilled and unskilled labour of Italy.

Other areas with great opportunities for hire are also construction or building workers as well. But mostly Italy hires non-seasonal workers and seasonal workers from non-European counties. And the country has opened the Italian work permit by non-Europeans named  Decreto Flussi which is particularly open for Seasonal workers and it’s open every year. In this year 2021, The Italian government has opened 80,000 visas for non-Europeans compared to the only 30,000 visas opportunities back in 2020. The seasonal workers are hired to work in the agriculture sector especially. As mentioned below sectors/industries will be in most demand in the coming years.

The economy is expected to contract at the sharpest pace in over a decade this year before rebounding strongly in 2021. Strengthening foreign demand for agricultural products, particularly from western countries and north European countries, is expected to bolster domestic production and ramp-up exports through agriculture. Nonetheless, the unpredictable course of the pandemic all around the world.
